"Hey, Wi-Fi(that's what they used to called me last time when I was in primary school)!!! wanna go outside and swim?" asked by my friend, Andrew Ng.
"Ok sure, it had been a long time we did not swim in the swimming pool near my house... what time we meet in the pool?"
" let's see... tomorrow early morning I got tuition, afternoon need to help my mom to do house work, evening I need to wash my bike, let swim at night." said Andrew.
" NO WAY!"
"Why? swimming at night is so fun. the slight cold breeze at night when you swim, no one will use the pool, we can actually conquer the pool and we can bring our 'gadget' to play water gun game in the pool."
"uh...no, I am not free at night ..."
" Well then, we swim on wednesday night."
"NO! I cant swim at night."
"Why?"
" Because... uh... well... I need to wash my fish tank which can only wash by night ..."
" Uh... you wash fish tank everyday, only at night? Wow since when you so hardworking on washing the fish tank? OK lah, we swim at evening during weekends."
" Sure, I am free at weekends. See you there."
" See ya. Remember to bring your own water gun! Do not aspect me to bring it for you..."
" OK. I will bring water gun on that day,no worries..." ( I STILL REMEMBER THAT DAY I DID NOT BRING MY OWN WATER GUN AND GET SCOLDED BY HIM BECAUSE I USED HIS WATER GUN AND SHOT HIM IN THE FACE, : D)
When I was a little kid, I used to fear darkness. I always thought that in
the darkness, there was nothing but the ghosts who
would come alive and kill me, so I refused to go out after the sun had set. It was
not until I joined the Youth Camp in my primary school that I began to
realise the irrationality of my phobia.
It all happened when I
was at the age of 10( I think). My parents sent me to a one-week Camp that organized at my home town, Sungei Way, hoping
that I would become braver. In the programme scheduled, we had to hike
at night in the jungle every day. For me, it was really torturous. Just
the prospect of walking in the jungle without being able to see the
direction could send shivers down my spine. I think I cried for a solid half an
hour just to stay in the tent(according to my mom), but unfortunately, in the camp, the watch
leaders were not so easily convinced. I had no choice but to join the hike.
The hike was terrifying. Everything was in the dark. I
tried to walk on tiptoe so as not to wake the ghosts at night. I dared
not turn on the torch light for fear of being easily spotted by the
ghosts, so I just walked gingerly step by step and extended my
arms forward to search for any obstacles along the way. After what
seemed like centuries of walking, I suddenly found that my hands were touching
something long and damp . Startled, I turned on the torch
light, looked up and see a myriad of similar creature hanging from the trees. It felt as if I was stuck
in the midst of a maze and cant escape. My head spun as the strange
noise in the jungle filled my ears. Instinctively, I ran away.
I came back to the tent with a few bruises on my
forehead and tears filled my eyes. I forced my eyes to close, but the
image of the terrifying creature hanging on the trees kept replaying in
my head. Suddenly, I felt somebody patting on my back. It was the watch
leader. She asked if I wanted to take a walk with her.I say no to her rudely because she obviously knew that I am scared of darkness but she still wanted me to go to the so-called-hell place.
But
gently she replied "This time, I will hold the torch light. Trust me,
everything is perfectly fine." I wanted to refuse, but really do not know why, i actually follow her because the look in her face showed that she was not just kidding around, she was dead serious.
After a long walk, the watch leader and I sat down near a tree(or something tall, I really forgot). Then she shone her torch light
at the long creatures that I am terrified of. I shuddered, but she forced me
to look at them and told me that those were called vines, a type of
vines and that they would do me no harm. Then she told me to close your
eyes and listen. For once, I realised that I had been wrong. There was
life at night after all. The sound of bullfrogs singing sounded like a small musical event. There was the sound of crickets too( I think so because normally the story books state that somewhere near the pond you will hear the sound of crickets but I totally forgot about it because it was happened when I was 10)
After that night, darkness no longer held a
terror in me. My watch leader said that there was no such thing as
supernatural; even ghosts, if they do exist, are as natural as living
things. I am deeply thankful for the watch leader, who had taught me to
confront with my fear of darkness. Til now, I still remember her. Indeed, there is nothing to fear, but
fear itself; and the only way to overcome fear is to confront it, and now I dare to swim at night, how's that!

Discrimination
Sexism is a hot topic today that’s why I am writing about it. The
examples of oppressions of women by sterner sex are more popular than
examples of racism and extremism. The fact that woman called the weaker
sex is discrimination.Sexism refers to beliefs and attitudes in relation to an individual's
gender. Such beliefs and attitudes are of a social nature and in most
cases do not have any legal consequences. However, sex discrimination
may have harsh legal consequences depending on each country. Sex
discrimination is mainly defined as adverse action that is performed
against another human being.
Gender discrimination is rooted in a deep past. Throughout history, the issue of equalization of women's rights arose rarely but radically. But these women riots have always been suppressed, and the unfortunate weaker sex was forced to resign.
‘Gender discrimination’ is often based on gender stereotypes of a particular society, i.e. considering men physically strong and women as emotionally sensitive. It is because of the fact that the term ‘gender’ is often conflicted with the term ‘sex’. Both the terms are used as synonyms of each other in normal context.
Newspaper discusses and analyzes the gender discrimination in the workplace and offers concrete ways of resolving this problem. To begin with, the economic cost of being female is that women, on average, earn less than men do. To be precise, that part of the gender pay gap that cannot be explained by relevant factors is the economy. Since the economic results of male/female work is difficult to measure and is rarely measured, this paper uses the whole gap as a proxy for the unfair part of the gap. A large part of the difference is due to discrimination against women in the labor market and in the workplace. Labor market discrimination occurs when an individual’s employment or pay is based on arbitrary factors irrelevant to job performance.

Labor market discrimination occurs when an individual’s employment or pay is based on arbitrary factors irrelevant to job performance.
In the 1970s, working women went from being a minority to a majority of
women. In 1970, 42 percent of women worked for pay; in 1980, 51 percent
of women were in the labor force. (Hartman, 2003) As of 1978, 35 million
women were in the labor force, or over 50 percent of women in the
population. As of 1991, 57 million American women were in the labor
force, or 57 percent of all women of working age. This rate of
participation is growing into the 21-st century. (evidence from Internet)
In the past, it was not uncommon for single women to work for pay,
especially if they were poor, black, or immigrants. Many would stop
working when they got married. This custom of single women working was
even stronger among the foreign born. In 1890, over 70 percent of single
foreign-born women worked; by 1930, the figure was 74 percent. In the
1940s, 46 percent of all single women worked for pay (Women’s Bureau,
1994) (evidence from Internet)
In sum, women now account for nearly half the labor force, but they
still are not paid fairly, and they are kept out of the high-paying,
high status occupations and jobs. The majority of women work in
lower-level jobs. The bad news is that a woman might loose her job as
inspector of construction sites in the city and could be reassigned to
manage female clerical workers in the office. The good news is that many
women are making inroads into formerly “male” occupations. There are
women who squeeze through the steel door normally closed to women and
become letter carriers, police officers and, airline pilots. We
celebrate these women as pioneers in lowering the cost of being female. I really hope that the world will give equally rights to the women that have equally same power to do anything and get anything they are suppose to have, and we ourselves must against gender discrimination so that the world will be free from all forms of discrimination.

Finally, my name was called!... It was Thursday, the day was fine, cool weather and beautiful sunshine. The whole class went in the bilik tayangan and prepared to get called for english ULBS. When we reached there, we saw a black file, a container filled with paper of our names and 4 chairs in front. After that, teacher starting to call out the names to do the oral test. The first name that get called was Wong Jun Kit ( well, kind of expected he will get called at that time). The second name was Sim Wee Han. Third name was Adam Leong ( Haha. finally teacher call him, happy that he get called), and the last name was.... Tee Wei Fai. HAIZ. Teacher called my name. Dont know what to do at first, but after teacher explanation on how does the ULBS works, the game was began. The topic for our group was "our school is planning a talk for young people. You have been asked to suggest a suitable topic for the talk." My task was my the title " How to be a good Malaysians " is a suitable topic for the talk. The task that was given by teacher was kind of hard because the three of them are about how to be a better person, how to manage stress and how to plan for your future. All of these were easy to talk about, except my title. Is not that the topic was hard , it just that there it was very hard to find evidence and example to prove my statement. But, luckily, I managed to finished it successfully without making major mistakes. teacher asked us to sign our name on the ULBS paper and I finally did my last ULBS for secondary school. Yeah!! Btw, teacher, what is the mark for ULBS to get A ? and since we did 3 times, teacher, are you going to get the average mark as our final mark, or get the best mark as out final mark?
April #3 Journal
This week was quite boring, nothing special happened this week, except the ULBS. The main reason of doing ULBS is like a oral test that examine our speaking and presentation skills. We did the oral test since we were in primary school, where everyone has to present an issue about ourselves. But this time, Puan Monica had change a bit of the usual oral test. She told us the topic we have to present, but different task based on the situation that we were given. At first, I was terrified. I was thinking, if we cant prepared anything and just go in front and talk, we will be nervous and cant think of any ideas on the spot. My friends and I actually did some countdown to our day to get called and calculate the percentage of getting called. at Friday, which was the last day of school of the week, we do not have oral test. But, my teacher, somehow manage to convince the teacher to gave her 30 minutes to finish our ULBS, I was nervous when I heard that all of us had to go to bilik tayangan. at the 10 minutes, teacher called the last 4 people to do oral test, and my name wasnt called!!!! I was so happy at the moment but when I realised that I will get called soon or later, m heart sunk. I really hope that I will get called as soon as possible so that I can concentrate on my studies.

This week was a whole lots different from the other week. This week I helped the class to raise fund for the magazine page as we need RM4400 for4 pages. So, my role was to make Beaded Animals. You might say," what?! I thought it was for the girls!!" But, I can tell you one thing, it was MEANT for girls but boys can do it also. Although it took me quite a period of time to know the concept of it, but once you know the concept, it is very easy, even a five-year-old child can do it. Until now, I have done more than 20 beaded animals, I was quite proud though. Today, I want to the Susan's shop and I learned how to do the beaded tortoise, it is HARD!!! But I managed to do 1 and I was the fastest boy on the table to finish it. I really hope I will finish it fast and ready for my exam

This week was STILL a boring week. Nothing much happening this week until Sunday. my friends, Adam Leong, Chan Kien Meng and I went to Susan's shop to learn the 3D beads for our class keychain. When we reached there, I was shocked, as well as my friends. This is because what we saw in front of us was a tobacco shop, which belongs to Susan's parents. Due to the limited time we have, we started right away. Susan had bought a lot of beads to used for beading cute animals. She also bought lots of FISHING LINE to make beaded animal. Though I really don't know why I choose beading instead of promoting to help our class to raise funds, but I found it kind of fun because there ia no way I will learn this thing myself. At about 1 hour, all of us had done a good job, until Susan said that she realised that my animal's eyes had placed incorrectly. So I had to redo the whole thing again tomorrow at school. Hope I can finish it fast to the class so that I will not be late for my revision of my mid-term exam.

EARTH HOUR IS FINALLY HERE!!!!!!
Sometimes I really wonder, why I like earth hour so much. Friends around me did not even mention about it . But, when the day, the hour finally come, only I know why I like earth hour so much. Earth hour is the time our family have fun together. You see, my sister is scare of darkness. Without torch light, my sister will cry to death just to find the torch light. While my brother like staying at the darkness due to the shadow animal that he can make behind the candle using his hand. My parents, well, they can cut cost on our electricity bill, that's good enough for them, VERY GOOD in deed. While for me, I like earth hour is because this hour is the only hour I can enjoy, no, FULLY enjoy myself. Normally my mom will ask my brother and I to do homework or study at night till 10 o'clock. But, Saturday, from 8.30 to 9.30, was earth hour, light have to be off during the period. Yes!! No homework and study for us on that hour. So, we can fully enjoyed ourselves.
Honestly, we did not actually practice our 'earth hour' very well. we are asked to switch off all the electric appliances. We had switched off every single electric appliances, except our television. So, we watch television till 10 o'clock. After wacthin tv, we all want to sleep because of tiredness and hotness of the house.

March #3 Journal
This week was just a normal week. Every was as usual as a school week. What so special about this week was the weekend exercising with my friends, Law Kah Chun, Adam Leong, Chue Sang Leng, as well as my brother.
On Sunday, my friends and my brother and I went to THE CLUB( the name of the club is THE CLUB), which located at Bandar Utama. at 4 o'clock, we went to the club and start exercising. We first start off with playing badminton. I teamed up with Sang Leng, while my brother teamed up with Adam Leong. We started playing intensively and is quite obvious who was profesional at badminton, which is my brother and I. Adam Leong was weak in badminton while for Sang Leng, I won't say he is weak, but he tried his best to play badminton.
After that, we went to swimming pool and swim, well I should call it playing water instead of swimming because everyone ( ESPECIALLY ADAM LEONG) were playing like a child. They are a bunch of kids playing in swimming pool for the first time since primary school, I am a bit surpirised, though. After that, we had a bath and we all went back home. Thank to you guys for coming, hope we can exercise again, guys.

Finally, exam is over!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
At last, after weeks and weeks of study, and stressful exam and tension, our monthly test are finally over. Now we have one week holiday. But, I can't think of anything to do during the holiday week. Thus, I asked my mom, "can we go Genting?" "Hey, what a good idea! Let's go." So we went to Genting on Tuesday and went back at Friday. After the Genting trip, I taught again, is they any posibilities I can make an outing? Well, I don' think so due to the amount of time left to inform my friends. So, I taught of something, let's go paintball.
Paintball is an extreme sport in which players compete, in teams or individually, to eliminate opponents by tagging them with capsules containing water soluble dye and gelatin shell outside propelled from a device called a paintball marker (commonly referred to as a paintball gun). Paintballs are composed of a non-toxic, biodegradable, water soluble mineral-oil. After inviting my friends, all of us met at paintball avenue and the game is on. At the first game, we can't barely shoot down our enemy. They are highly trained paintballer who took part in the tournament . So we lost to them every single game. After the first three matches , we decided to play among ourselves. So the people in charge of paintball ask us to play at the smaller field and play speedball.
Speedball is played in an open or partially wooded field filled with inflatable fabric "bunkers" which can be used for protection. These games were started as a way to make the game safer for players who might trip on uneven woodland terrain. Speedball is generally a fast-paced game where many more paintballs are used than in the traditional game of woodsball. After a 6 matches, we lost the first match but won the next five match, IN A ROW. Best of all, I had successfully become the 2nd-MVP of the team, the real MVP is a professional paintball. If its did not count, then I am the REAL MVP OF THE TEAM. I shot down around 16 enemy in five matches. After the speedball, we all went back home accordingly. I really hope that next time more people will involve in paintball so that paintball can be popular internationally.

This week was an important week. This week was an exam week. Everyone was studying and revising and hope to get the good results in exam, and that's include me. Before the exam start, you can see students around you will keep asking you, "do u have any tips ah? I know you got 1, give me lah , don't like that." Sometimes, I really want to punch them and kick them. Can't you study harder and sit for the exam yourself without getting any tips? Tips is very useless for you as you won't get any tips for SPM examination.
But, to be honest, I also want to know some tips at the subject I am weak at, but come to think of it, I better choose not to know anything about it. This is because my mom always told me, exam is a test, it will test on your ability on every subjects. If you get the tips from people around you and sit for the exam, when you grow older, you will regret for knowing the tips that people gave you. My mom kept repeating the phrase that concerned me a lot. This is because when I want to get those tips, I taught of my mom and I dare not to take those tips. But in the same time, I felt unfair as all my friends knew the tips. So I can't do anything but to sit for the exam normally. I really hope and pray that i can get a better results than last year. Here are some random answer i found from the websites. Hope you guys enjoy it and DO NOT ATTEMPT THIS IN YOUR EXAM.

February #4 Journal
This week was an interesting week. This week was our school co-curricular week. Everyone was going in and out of the class to take part in the competition. While I took part in a drama competition. This year is the last year in SMK Damansara Jaya school. So it's compulsory for all the form 5s to take part in the competition. This year, our drama theme is environment. our class had wrote the script totally about environment. Our drama is about a evil Vldamir Labokof (Zhi Hao) want to conquer the whole world but he need a flower-human hybird to generate his machine but the good guys protect her and the bad guys lose. In the drama, I am acting as a minor actor but I played an important role in the drama. I am acting as a MINION!!!!!! In the dictionary minion is defined as a servile follower or subordinate of a person in power. Oh no, I am acting as a follower who obey everything the master say. I actually hate to act as a minion as I hate people to demand me to do something. But come to think about it, this year is the last year our class Belian stay as a class. So, I decided to be minion.
Every week, no, everyday, our awesome director, Carmen will somehow convince every subject teacher to let us practice our drama. Our class had around 10 practices weekly before the competition. At last, here come the drama competition. Every class had prepared for their drama and tried their best to act in front of everyone in the hall. As for our class, we made it perfectly and successfully. After all the pure science classes finished their drama, all of us went back to our class and went for recess and after the recess, the teacher continued to teach us for the exam. The drama practice had make a lot of sweats and tears to our class. But, because of this drama competition, but our bond between us had became stronger. I really hope we can win the drama competition and hope for the best the judges will value our drama. Lastly, MINION ROCK!!!!!!!!!! ( I am NOT a minion, I am UPPER MANAGEMANT )

Actually, I have nothing much to say for this week, except the exam is getting closer and closer and I am half-ready for the exam. Today what I really wanted to talk about is I recently addicted to a game called " Go".This game is something like a conquer game. The objective of the game is to capture more territory and prisoners than your opponent.
The game is played on a grid of 15x15 points, which you can play it on a piece of paper.
A Go move is played on the intersections of the lines.
The black player moves first.
During a Go game one or more dots can be captured by completely
surrounding them on four sides, i.e. filling all empty points around them.
If a move would result in the same board pattern that existed before the opponent's move, the player is required to abstain from that move and make a move elsewhere. This situation is known as a KO (the knot). This rule is used to prevent stalemates and endless repetition.A player may pass instead of placing a dot. When both players pass consecutively, negotiation will begin and both players shall mark dead dots. A player's score is the number of empty points enclosed only by his stones plus the number of captured dots. The player with the higher score wins. This game is a very addictive game and it can be played everwhere as long as you bring a piece of paper with you. So, i really like this game because it required a lot of thinking and skills to win this game. Right now, I am playing with my classmate, Adam, Kien Meng, Yu King, and Zhan Ber.(The above names I listed always lose to me, NO OFFENCE). I really hope that this game will be well-known because this is a fun game. If anyone is interested in this game, please go to the "Go" website, http://www.flyordie.com/go/ , for more details. ( This game is suitable for everyone, do not worry about it)

I am BACK!!!!!!!!!! from Genting......When I was on the way to GENTING, my family are inside the car, chatting about how exciting the trip will be , where to go, where to shop, BLAH BLAH BLAH. Suddenly, I saw something very weird . On the GPS screen, in the destination coloumn ,instead of Genting, a Pahang destination was indicated. Then I ask my dad where we were actually going. Then only I knew that we were not going to Pahang to have fun. We are going to Pahang to visit my father's friend. So we all felt sad about it because everyone in the house including me, keep talking about Genting before we set out.So, we had no choice but to go and visit my father's house. After I came back, my cousins( whom I did not really like them because they always like to take my stuff) ask me for their souveniers. No, I did not buy beacuse I am just visiting someone in pahang and not going to Genting. Sorry guys, just don't scold me and kick me when I say I did not buy you guys stuff. After the "Genting Trip", life went on and now our teacher has given us the exam timetable and told us we must study and do revision. So I am going to study like a nerd and hope I can beat my wonderful half-nerdy-half-playful friend ( you know who you are)(Adam- it is not you , don't worry)

Article (Night Without End)
Race Across The Pole
By Wei Fai
When I
approached across the ice glacier, immediately I saw a group of people not far
from us in pirate ship. They were carrying weapons and wearing protected suits
while rushing towards somewhere. I wondered where were they running to
and as I swept my glance towards the direction that the criminals were running,
I gasped.
Suddenly, I saw a person who looks like a priest pointing his gun on the
hostages. Among the hostages, there was one girl that looked terrified and the
man beside the girl seemed trying to tell me something and the man in
front was shouting something at the priest-in-cover, although I can’t hear a
single word from him.The priest heard him and looked toward me. He lost control
of his tractor. He shoved the girl into a tractor and roared on the engines.
The man tried to stop him, but to no avail. The priest shot him in his arm .
They sped off into the vast landscape of ice on that tractor, and it spun and
turned so unpredictably that it could crash at any time.
Suddenly, it crashed into a pile of big boulders without warning. The tractor
was totally destroyed. Unfortunately, the captor was still alive but
fortunately the hostages survived. At this time, the air force was already
shooting upon the crude ship and the terrorists that came out of it. The ship couldn’t
hold for long and it was already sinking by the time the men rushed towards the
crevasse. The man threw down a rope into the crevasse and before I knew it, he
fell into the crevasse. The man who was still standing outside the crevasse
looked grim, and I bit my lips as I hope that they would make it out fast.
Then, miraculously, their captain and his crew came to their rescue. He hauled
the girl up, but he was still tense, very tense at the sight of what was happening
down there. I waited as the men threw down two ropes consecutively into
the crevasse. Finally, the man was pulled out of the crevasse. As the crew
looked down into the crevasse for one last time, a man threw down an entire
coil of rope with contempt and hatred in his eyes down the crevasse, the
crevasse closing after it a while after and all the terrorists died inside.

February #1 Journal
ME AND MY BIG MOUTH. My beloved English teacher, Pn Monica said on Thursday that this so called monthly journal had changed to WEEKLY journal.(More homework weekly) So I am writing this journal as a weekly journal. Actually, for the first week of the month, nothing much happened. As usual, everyday, every teacher gave us tons of homework as 'ANG PAO' to us. Though I really hate this ANG PAO, but i still need to finished it as this 'ang pao' will help me get better results in spm. (I hope so!!!) Our class also had a drama practice . Everyone were gathered at Mcd located at centrepoint, bandar utama. Actually, I need to go,no , i am supposed to go because I am acting as a MINION in the drama. But, I can't go which is kind of sad because I really want to go to know everything about the drama which right now i know nothing at all (and I don't even know what is the title of the drama...) but at the same time I am going to Genting to visit someone. This time my Genting trip is a little different. My whole family are going there ourself, without getting any help from my relatives. Maybe we need some help to tell us where is the location and how to reach there the fastest way.So my dad bought a TINY HERO to help us, and the tiny hero is.......'GPS', also known as Gloal Positioning System. Today I am going to Genting and I that the tiny hero will help us reach our destination. Ok, I need to go now, see you guys later and will tell you about my trip in the next journal.

January Entry
When I am in 2011, which is form 4, my parent kept telling me 'Wei Fai , you better study lah, don't play your laptop already! Next year is your spm year. Stop playing and go study right now!!!!'At that time I told my parent ' chillax lah, one more year what , nothing to be afraid of.' Now, here comes the HUGE 2012 ,which is my spm year already. Though I am not really afraid of getting bad results on my spm( since now is just the 1st month of the year, I got 7 months time to study), but still I really need some time to study because i have lots of stuff to study. Since now is just the 1st month of the year, January, I tell myself 'ok, I will study during Chinese New Year holidays, since I have 1 and a half week to study, so i play then only I study for spm.'. But things did not go as I planned. My mother had planned activities for everyday from morning til night, visiting my uncle, friends, cousin, go eat dinner with my grandma, take ANG PAO(which i have been waiting for 1 year long just to get those red packets filled with lots of money from my parent , uncles, anunties, grandparents), go outing with my friends, blah blah blah. There goes my ultimate study plan. Even though I did not managed to get some study, not even a single bit, AT LEAST I managed to find sometime to finish my homework (which I do not enjoy doing it), luckily. Right now I feel terrified and feel very useless at this point. What I can do right now is to pray that I can have some time in the 1st week of the February to do some revision.( and I also hope that my beloved English teacher will not change this monthly journal to weekly journal...)
